Program Mission, Goals and Objectives

Mission:

The mission of the Forestry Resources Management program is to further the understanding, stewardship, and sustainable use of our forests, urban forests, and renewable natural resources by educating students to become knowledgeable professionals and citizens, advancing and communicating research knowledge, and providing technical information and professional service to society.

Program Goals and Objectives:

  1. Increase cross-program research collaborations;
  2. Develop new FRM professional identify that includes forest & ecosystem sciences;
  3. Strategically develop new, and re-align existing, graduate courses to increase program’s contribution to campus-wide ecosystem sciences efforts;
  4. Inventory and re-align exiting undergraduate courses to optimize faculty’s teaching responsibilities.
